27-year-old Gagan was shot dead near his Shahdara home just minutes before his birthday. His father said he "hugged someone, and in that brief moment, the man pulled out a weapon and shot him." Gagan, a new father, was declared dead at GTB Hospital. Police are reviewing CCTV footage and questioning locals to trace the shooter and probe the motive.
