28-year-old US Army veteran dies after finishing half-marathon
A 28-year-old US Army veteran, Scottie Williams, collapsed and died after finishing a half-marathon in San Diego, New York Post reported. Enlisted in the Army at 17, he had served in Korea and Syria, and planned to marry his girlfriend, who saw the tragedy unfold, Williams' mother said. Williams suffered from PTSD after returning from Syria, his mother added.
