3 Air India plane crash victims asked to pay ₹1.16 lakh at immigration, claims family
A man claimed an immigration officer sought £1,000 (₹1.16 lakh) before boarding from his daughter, her son and mother-in-law, all of whom were killed in Ahmedabad plane crash. The officer needed an additional letter as the child was born in Nagpur, he said. MHA sources told ANI that payment was sought as fine as the British passport-holding child had overstayed.
