34 women rescued at North Bengal’s Siliguri bus terminus
In a major trafficking bust, Siliguri police rescued 34 young women from a bus at Siliguri terminus. Lured with fake job offers, they were being taken to Tamil Nadu via Jharkhand. Three traffickers were arrested. All victims are from Alipurduar. This is North Bengal’s second rescue in a week, raising alarm over a growing interstate trafficking racket. Investigation is ongoing.
