4 Indians kidnapped for ₹2-crore ransom in Iran on way to Australia
Four people from Gujarat's Gandhinagar district were held captive in Iran while attempting to reach Australia through the illegal donkey route. While they have returned to India after intervention by Indian government, MLA Jayantibhai Patel said kidnappers sent videos of assault to their families and demanded ₹2-crore ransom. They first travelled to Bangkok and Dubai before reaching Tehran.
