4 solar storms to hit Earth this week
Four coronal mass ejections (CMEs) from sunspot AR4246 are set to impact Earth between October 15-17, possibly triggering G1 geomagnetic storms. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) said the minor storms could potentially create auroras at high latitudes, such as those found in northern Michigan or Maine, and cause brief power or satellite disruptions lasting several days.
