4K and 8K TVs may actually be a waste of money, suggests study
A study by Cambridge University and Meta Reality Labs suggested that 4K and 8K TVs may actually be a waste of money. Researchers observed that when watching a 44-inch UHD TV from about 2.5 metres away, viewers couldn't detect any visual improvement over QHD screens. The study concluded that QHD resolution already meets the human eye's visual threshold.
