5 superclouds discovered near solar system
Astronomers have discovered five more massive superclouds just beyond the solar system, adding to the existing two. These giant gas formations lie nearly parallel and most show wave-like patterns. They range from 3,000 to 8,000 light-years in length and have masses between 800,000 and 3.5 million times that of the Sun, making them the largest known neighbours of our galaxy.
