890 million gallons of sewage to be treated daily in Delhi: Gahlot
Delhi will treat 890 million gallons of sewage per day by March 2024, Finance Minister Kailash Gahlot announced. While presenting the budget, he added that 570 unauthorised colonies will be provided free sewerage connections in one year. The government will also engage in de-silting sewerage networks. The measures are part of a six-point action plan to keep Yamuna river clean.
