Accused in 1993 Mumbai riots arrested after 32 years
Arif Ali Hashmulla Khan, a key accused in the 1993 Mumbai communal riots, was arrested after 32 years on July 5. Khan was wanted on charges including attempted murder and unlawful assembly, linked to the violent riots that erupted after the Babri Masjid's demolition in 1992. Khan had absconded when he was released on bail after his arrest in 1993.
