Activist Manoj Jarange reaches Mumbai, begins hunger strike to demand Maratha quota
The 43-year-old activist Manoj Jarange-Patil began an indefinite hunger strike in Mumbai to demand reservations for the Maratha community. Jarange, who started marching from Maharashtra's Jalna district on Wednesday, reached South Mumbai's Azad Maidan on Friday morning. Jarange has been demanding a 10% quota for Marathas under the OBC category. "I won't move until our demands are met," he said.
