AI use to push data-centre power demand to 300% by 2035: Report
A BloombergNEF report forecasts that the power demand from data centres will soar by nearly 300% through 2035 due to the increasing use of AI. As AI training and inference grow, they are expected to account for nearly 40% of data centres' total compute power. The overall utilisation rate may increase from 59% to 69% over the next decade.
