Algerian-French artist’s work vandalised by artists in Kerala over ‘obscenity’
Artworks of Algerian-French artist Hanan Benammar, which were on display at an art gallery in Kochi, were vandalised by two other artists over alleged obscenity. Artists Hochimin PH and Sudamshu allegedly tore away seven prints on Wednesday. Chairman of Kerala Lalithakala Akademi, which organised the exhibition, condemned the attack and said that a complaint would be filed against the vandalism.
