Andhra CM launches free bus travel scheme for women, transgenders
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu launched 'Stree Shakti', a free bus travel scheme for women and transgender people across the state on India's 79th Independence Day on Friday. To avail benefits under this scheme, a passenger must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh and present identity proofs like an Aadhaar card, ration card or driving licence to conductors.
