Animal lovers, activists turn to prayer in fight for stray dogs
Animal lovers, weary of protest, gathered at Delhi's Hanuman Mandir and Bangla Sahib to pray for strength in protecting street dogs after Supreme Court ordered relocation of all Delhi-NCR stray dogs to shelters. Nearly 200 people recited Hanuman Chalisa, carrying banners that read, 'Awara nahi, humara hai' (they're not strays, they're ours). Activists also urged SC to withdraw its order.
