Apple to pay around $1.1-billion more in July-September over Trump tariffs
Apple CEO Tim Cook said the iPhone-maker expects to pay around $1.1 billion in duties for July-September 2025, apart from the $800 million it has already paid in April-June. Cook said US President Donald Trump's tariffs are behind the rise in duties, which began hitting Apple earlier this year. Apple's global manufacturing distribution has helped offset the hit.
