Arrested Meitei leader Kanan for links to 2023 Manipur violence: CBI
After protests erupted in Manipur's capital Imphal on June 7 due to the arrest of Meitei leader Kanan Singh, CBI said, he was arrested for his involvement in "criminal activities related to 2023 Manipur violence". CBI stated that it arrested Kanan at Imphal Airport on June . It added, Kanan will be produced before the court for police remand.
