Arvind Kejriwal's case prompted govt to bring Bills to remove jailed CMs: Report
BJP-led Central Government decided to bring law to remove jailed CMs and Ministers after ex-Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal refused to resign after his arrest in a corruption case, NDTV reported. Kejriwal became first sitting CM in India's history to be arrested in 2024. The Bill seeks to automatically remove Ministers after they've been jailed for 30 days for serious crimes.
