Asked Speaker for a smoking room: Rijiju on his 1st request as MP
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said his first request as an MP to then Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee was for a smoking room. He recalled that some MPs had sent him with the request. "He scolded me, saying, 'This is what your people sent you for?'" Rijiju said, adding, "I learned that I should approach such offices with greater purpose."
