Assam to clear 3,300 acres of encroached land in Golaghat
In a major eviction drive, the Assam government will begin clearing over 3,300 acres of encroached land in Rengma Reserve Forest in Golaghat on Tuesday. The eviction drive will affect at least 2,000 families, officials said. The entire area has been divided into nine zones for it. Heavy machinery, including bulldozers and excavators, has also been mobilised for the operation.
