B'desh official uses 'bootlicking' remark for Indian journalists, press body seek apology
Press Club of India condemned the Chief Advisor of the Bangladesh government, Shafiqul Alam, after he described reporters who interviewed ex-Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina as "Western journalists and their Indian bootlicking counterparts". Such comments are especially reprehensible as Mr Alam is himself a former journalist, the press body said, seeking an apology from Shafiqul Alam.
