Bagchi family's Durga Puja which revolutionaries secretly visited
356-year-old Durga Puja at Bagchi family's residence in Jamsherpur, Nadia district of West Bengal has immense historical significance. During British colonial rule, revolutionaries used to secretly visit here and offer Pushpanjali to Goddess Durga. They would disappear before dawn to prevent getting arrested. Leading revolutionary Jatindranath Mukherjee also known as Bagha Jatin also visited here.
