Battlefield & The Sims maker EA to go private in record $55 billion buyout
Electronic Arts, the maker of video games including 'Battlefield' and 'The Sims', will be taken private in a record-breaking $55 billion leveraged buyout. The California-based video game company said it'll be acquired by a consortium consisting of private equity firm Silver Lake, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and Affinity Partners. The announcement comes before the launch of Battlefield 6.
