A Bengaluru resident reported that he and his flatmate were issued ₹5,000 penalty by their society after two women stayed overnight at their rented flat. "Our society has a rule that bachelors are not allowed to have guests overnight but no restriction for family...We pay the same maintenance," the Reddit post read.
