Bhakra Dam just a ft below danger mark, alert issued in Punjab
The water level in Bhakra Dam has risen to 1678.97 feet, just a foot short of reaching its danger mark of 1680 feet, following which alerts were issued across Punjab. Rupnagar administration has urged people near Sutlej river to move to safer places. The situation is critical in Ferozepur and Fazilka, which have already battered over 25 days of flooding.
