BHP hits record copper, iron output; Potash costs balloon
BHP posted record FY copper (2.02 million tons) and iron ore output (263 million tons), but its Canadian potash project is running over budget. Phase 1 of Jansen will now cost $7 billion-$7.4 billion, up from $5.7billion, and first production is pushed to mid-2027. Weaker potash prices, due to Russian supply, cloud returns. Retail sentiment on Stocktwits was 'bearish'.
