The Centre has approved a nuclear power plant in Bihar, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced on Wednesday. This will be the first nuclear power plant in Bihar and one of six across India to be developed under India's new Nuclear Energy Mission announced in Union Budget 2025-26. This comes ahead of Assembly elections in the state later this year.
