Bitchat's demand rises 1,400% during Nepal's GenZ protests: Report
Downloads of Bitchat, a Bluetooth-powered messaging platform created by Twitter Co-founder Jack Dorsey, surged to 48,781 in Nepal after the Gen-Z protests began on September 8, reports stated. This came after the country's now-dissolved government had banned social media apps for failing to register them under new rules. Bitchat saw around 1,400% increase from 3,344 downloads the previous week.
