Bombay HC fixes ₹6 lakh compensation for pothole deaths in Maha
Bombay High Court fixed a ₹6 lakh compensation for the families of people who lose their lives due to potholes or open manholes in Maharashtra. The court also fixed a compensation ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹2.5 lakh for people injured due to potholes in the state. "It's high time that...contractors entrusted with road maintenance are held accountable," the HC said.
