Borrowers to now be able to avail loans of ₹1 crore against shares, ₹25 lakh to finance IPOs
RBI raised limit for loans availed by keeping shares or IPO bids as collateral. People can now avail up to ₹1-crore loan against shares, which allows access to funds without selling stocks. Additionally, investors willing to purchase shares in IPOs can take loans up to ₹25 lakh and then use the allotted shares as collateral to repay the loans.
