Mumbai's Vivek Vidyalaya Junior College has introduced a new dress code barring students from wearing burqas inside classrooms, sparking protests by students. "We were not told about this earlier...if we had been told this earlier, we would not have taken admission here," a student said. "I’ve worn a burqa all my life...sitting in class without one feels uncomfortable," said another.
