Bush saw Iraq War as mission to rid world of 'evil doers': Files
Ex-US President George Bush saw Iraq War as a divine mission to rid world of "evil-doers" by "God's chosen nation", newly-released files from UK's National Archives said. In a 2002 diplomatic cable, UK's then-ambassador to US Sir Christopher Meyer said Bush was "strongly allergic to Europeans". Bush also feared repeat of a 9/11-like attack with an Iraqi connection, Meyer noted.
