Butch Wilmore retires from NASA after 9 extended months in space
Butch Wilmore, 62, retired from NASA after 25 years. He and Sunita Williams piloted first crewed flight of Boeing's Starliner spacecraft for an 8-day mission and gained traction when their spacecraft experienced technical issues, leading to a nine-month extended stay at ISS. "I've been captivated by marvels of creation, looking upward with curiosity which propelled me to space," he said.
