Can't have profession where 'my lord' is used, petition called 'prayer': PM's advisor on judiciary
Sanjeev Sanyal, member of the PM's Economic Advisory Council spoke against colonial-era terms and practices in Indian courts. "You cannot have a profession where you use words like 'my lord', or when you're doing a petition it's called a prayer. You've got to be kidding me. We're all citizens of the same democratic republic," he said.
