Canada officer sues Indian govt over 'terrorist' tag, seeks $9mn in damages
Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) superintendent Sandeep Singh Sidhu has reportedly filed a lawsuit against the Indian government, alleging he was portrayed as "fugitive terrorist" by Indian officials. Sidhu has sought $9 million damages for reputational harm, lost wages, and psychological injury. The case has been filed in the Ontario Superior Court and hearing is scheduled for early 2026.
