Carrots provide beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin, key carotenoids linked to retinal health, Garima, a certified dietitian, explained. She added that beta-carotene converts to vitamin A, essential for rhodopsin production and low-light vision. Combined with diverse nutrients, these compounds can help slow oxidative damage and age-related vision decline, she further said.
