Minister of State Nityanand Rai on Tuesday told the Lok Sabha that caste enumeration will be included in Census 2027, as approved by the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs on April 30, 2025. He said, "The census questions are notified after finalisation," adding that "the respondent is required to answer questions to the best of his knowledge or belief."
