CBI sentences 5 people for en-cashing forged DDs worth ₹1.08 crore
CBI Court in Ahmedabad sentenced five people- Salauddin Shaikh, Kriti Kumar R Saha, Kamlesh D Rao, Mahendra C Vakharia, and Bhupendra Manilal Vakharia- to three years rigorous imprisonment and a ₹50,000 fine each in ₹1.08 crore Bank of India fraud case. Investigators found 19 forged demand drafts (DDs) of ₹9 lakh each, 12 of which were encashed, totalling ₹1.08 crore.
