CCTV gaps responsible for jewellery heist: Louvre chief
After jewels worth $102 million were stolen from Paris' Louvre museum, the museum's director Laurence des Cars, said the window through which thieves broke in wasn't monitored by CCTV. Des Cars said she had repeatedly warned that Louvre's security was in a dire state. She blamed the heist on the fact that there weren't enough cameras monitoring Louvre's perimeter.
