China hits back at US over port fees for vessels, announces higher charges for US ships
China retaliated against US' recent tariff moves, including the imposition of $50/ton port fees on Chinese ships docking at US ports. Saying that the port fees "seriously violate" international trading principles, China said it'll charge ¥400 ($56) from US ships docking at Chinese ports. China added it'll also match US' announcement and increase fees over time until April 17, 2028.
