Chinese hypercar sets EV world speed record at 472 kmph
China’s BYD luxury sub-brand Yangwang has broken the electric vehicle top-speed record. Its U9 Track Edition, a quad-motor hypercar producing nearly 3,000 horsepower, clocked 472.41 kmph at Germany’s ATP Papenburg track. It surpassed records held by the Rimac Nevera and Aspark Owl.
