Chinese scientists say moonquakes are causing landslides on Moon
Chinese scientists have claimed that active landslides are occurring on the Moon. Their study detected 41 new landslides formed since 2009 by comparing 562 pairs of before-and-after images of 74 sites in the least stable areas on the lunar surface. While around 30% of the new landslides were likely triggered by new impact events, the majority were induced by moonquakes.
