Chinook carrying an excavator in Uttarakhand viral image is edited
A morphed image of IAF's Chinook helicopter airlifting an excavator to conduct rescue operations in Uttarkashi's Dharali after the flash floods is viral as real. BOOM found two separate unrelated photographs were edited and merged to make the viral claim. An old image of Chinook helicopter was merged with recent photograph of the flash flood on August 5, 2025.
