Coal output from captive mines hits 15.57 MT in June
In June 2025, India’s captive and commercial coal mines produced 15.57 million tonnes and dispatched 17.31 million tonnes. Q1 of FY 2025–26 saw a 16.39% rise in production and a 13.03% increase in dispatches. Key highlights include the opening of Utkal A Mine and over 200 coal blocks allocated, boosting domestic coal supply and supporting India’s industrial growth.
