Congress leader Jose Nelledam, a member of the Mullankolly Grama Panchayat in Kerala's Wayanad, was found dead in a pond near his home on Friday, officials said. He allegedly cut his wrist after consuming poison and jumped into a pond, reports claimed. Nelledam was under investigation in a case involving Congress worker Thankachan, who had been jailed but was acquitted.
