Constellation secures $1 bn DOE loan for Three Mile Island restart
Constellation Energy rose 2.8% after-hours after securing a $1-billion Department of Energy loan to restart the shuttered Three Mile Island nuclear plant, now set to reopen as the Crane Clean Energy Center by mid-2027. The loan covers most of the $1.6-billion startup cost. The move follows Trump's push to support new reactors and revive closed nuclear sites.
