Cooker causes severe lead poisoning in man; doctor explains how
A Mumbai man was hospitalised after suffering from severe lead poisoning, his doctor revealed. He had memory loss and fatigue symptoms. Dr Vishal Gabale said the patient's wife had been using the same cooker for 20 years. "When old/damaged aluminium cookers come in contact with acidic foods, lead and aluminium particles dissolve in...food. Excess of it blocks...slows...brain signals," he said.
