Curaçao, with population of 1.5 lakh, becomes smallest nation to qualify for FIFA World Cup
Curaçao has become the smallest-ever country to qualify for FIFA World Cup after holding on to a 0-0 draw against Jamaica on last day of CONCACAF FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers. The island nation, located in the Caribbean, has a population of just 1,56,115 people. Iceland held the previous record, qualifying in 2018 with a population of just over 3,50,000.
