Dalai Lama says he will have a successor after death, rules out China's role in selection
Dalai Lama on Wednesday announced continuation of the Institution of Dalai Lama, stating he will have a successor after his death. "I hereby reiterate that the Gaden Phodrang Trust has sole authority to recognize the future reincarnation; no one else has any such authority to interfere in this matter," his official statement read, ruling out China's participation.
