Death toll in Syria's sectarian clashes crosses 900: Rights group
The death toll from sectarian violence in Syria's Sweida between Druze and Bedouin communities, which later saw Israel's intervention, crossed 900, war monitor Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. The toll rose as clashes continued till Saturday despite the announcement of a ceasefire. Fighting in Sweida halted on Sunday after Druze fighters recaptured the city, the Syrian government said.
